Closer to Home Community Services Awarded New Foster Care Contract in South Region and Actively Recruiting Foster Parents
(Calgary, AB – March 3, 2025) – Closer to Home Community Services is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded Southern Alberta’s latest Agency Foster Care contract. This new contract allows us to provide enhanced support for children and families across a wide area from Fort Macleod, south to the Canadian border, stretching east to Medicine Hat and west to the BC border.
As the sole agency selected for this contract, Closer to Home will now recruit Foster Parents to support 50 new Foster Care beds in the South Region. Combined with our existing 26 beds in Calgary, this brings our total capacity to 76 beds. This significant expansion strengthens our ability to meet the growing needs of children and families across the province.
